This album was based on the Christmas Eve on Sesame Street special, with songs and dialogue from the original soundtrack, with added narration. Jon Stone voices the narrator who subtly reveals himself to be Santa Claus by the end of the story. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children, but lost to In Harmony: A Sesame Street Record.
